Sara's scarf
Off the needles today I got this pink scarf, made for Sara. I am pretty sure that her parents do not read my blog, and she is way too young to understand what I am writting here, so I think it is fine that I post her Christmas gifts here.
The pattern is free, from Drops Design: http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/no/visoppskrift.php?d_nr=b14&d_id=16&lang=no. I made I little change at the end. The pattern calls for plain decreasing when you knit till the satisfying length. I want the scarf to be symmetrical, and looks like two "hearts" overlapping each other when the scarf is taken on, so I simply follow the same way in knitting the first "heart". I put every other stitch onto a cable needle, and knit the remaining till ca. 5 cm, then I knit the same length of the picked out stitches. Then I combine the two sets of stitches together, picking one stitch from each needle in turns at a time. When I have all stitches on one needle, I decreased, instead knitting increasingly, till there are 4 stitches left. I then cast off.
I am now going to knit the tusen hjertelige hat for her, the one I blogged in the last post. Ove just selected the colors.

Her ser du min sønn som modeller lua.

Forest trip
It is September, so fall is officially coming. The weather is actually quite good today. No rain! Yeah!
We went to the small forest nearby. It is actually just behind H's kindergarten. Every Monday is "out-going" day. They usually go into the forest.
Anyway, we were there in the forest, picking up lots of treasure. We had wild mushroom for dinner, and the boy and I made this.

H's craft
My son made this by the pins when I was sewing by his side. I think it is quite nice, but I am his mom, whatelse can I think :=P)

H's sunflower
This spring we had time to plant some seeds together with my one year old, H. We seeded some beans and sunflowers. The beans were harvested and eaten long time ago. Now we have the sunflowers coming. :=)

Ravellenic Games 2012 London: 27 July - 12 August
I participated this year's Ravellenic Games, knitting a selv-challenging project as the Olympic Games went on. See, this is what I complished: An overall for H. I think it will suit him perfectly for fall/early winter, especially he naps outside and does not like to take quilt or blanket on.
The pattern is from Sandnes Tema 30 Klassikere 0-4. Sized for two year-old. Sandnes garn Sisu.
--------------------------------------
